Tuesday, September 29, 2009The Disney CollectionMuch like a fancy art gallery, The White House occasionally acquires pieces of art that are part of a particular collection by an artist. Today, we acquired "The Disney Princess Collection" by Jillian White: Ariel and Flounder (sea flowers are also there) Snow White Sleeping Beauty Pocahontas and her bird friend (I think named "Flit"...is that right?) Belle from Beauty and the Beast. This one is a bit more "interpretive," obviously, and it was also created in part, by using a "natural" tool - a blade of grass was employed for the red marks on the left. If Jillian completes the collection with Cinderella, I'll add that as soon as it is available! Thanks for visiting The White House Art Gallery! Labels: Arts and Crafts |
